Djordje Petrovic is the solution to Chelsea’s goalkeeper dilemma, according to former Premier League player Peter Crouch, who spoke to the media about it.
Following Robert Sanchez’s injury last year, Petrovic has taken over as Chelsea’s starting goalkeeper. Throughout his career, the gifted goalie has been nothing short of spectacular, making spectacular save after spectacular save. He made a sensational save in the Carabao Cup penalty shootout, which sent Chelsea to the semi-finals against Newcastle United.
Petrovic produced some key stops in Chelsea’s recent 1-0 victory over Fulham, which the Blues won by a score of 1-0. When he gets back from his injury, Robert Sanchez will have a tough time benching him.
But as per Blue_Footy via X, “He looks like the answer because they [Chelsea] have really struggled for goalkeepers in recent years,” Peter Crouch remarked, elucidating why Petrovic is the solution to Chelsea’s goalkeeper dilemma.
According to Crouch, Petrovic was very confident while he collected the ball, relieving his teammates of some of their pressure. In addition to making two excellent saves, he was quite outspoken. Crouch elaborated by saying he seems to be the solution, since goalkeepers have been a major problem for Chelsea recently.
