Wolves, West Ham, and Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Armando Broja, but Chelsea has set a high price for him.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues are allegedly still accepting bids for their striker this month, despite their reported demand of more than £50 million ($63 million/€58 million). The club’s determination to retain Broja on the team has piqued the curiosity of Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United.
Reportedly, Rasmus Hoijlund’s £72 million summer transfer cost from Manchester United served as a benchmark against which Chelsea arrived at their estimate. Their expectations were also based on Brighton’s evaluation of Evan Ferguson, which was £100 million (€116 million/$126 million). Chelsea may reconsider their stance if a buyer is willing to pay the asking price, even though it was first believed that they would only let Broja go if they signed a new forward.
Only one goal has eluded Broja in thirteen Premier League appearances for Chelsea thus far this season. He has scored once this season, and that was in the FA Cup match against Fulham.
In September 2022, Broja—who has scored twice for Chelsea this season—agreed to a six-year contract, giving the club flexibility and eliminating any immediate pressure to sell him for less than his market worth. Assuming Broja does indeed want to leave Stamford Bridge, the Blues will likely seek out a new offensive player. But with Nicolas Jackson returning from the Africa Cup of Nations and Christopher Nkunku healthy again, Pochettino will have more options.
