Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, told his players that they need to be ready to fight when they play Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
Remember how shocked United were when they played them earlier this season at Old Trafford?
In an interview with the club’s website, Ten Hag said that the players need to help each other win fights.
“They had played very well against Chelsea the week before (Man Utd won 2-1 at Old Trafford).”
“Our minds were not ready for that game (Bournemouth’s 3-0 win)” We were in fight with them, but we lost.
“They want to play that way, so tomorrow won’t be any different.” They wish to fight with you.
“So you go into that fight with conviction and belief, and you need to help each other win battles, and you need to play better, run faster, and defend better to match the runs.”
When asked about Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford’s health, he said, “Scott? I don’t believe that. We have practice, so he will push us for a day. He really wants to be a part of it tomorrow, but I think it’s a very good question.
“Rashy worked out yesterday, and we’ll see how he feels today.” Today we will have more training, and then we will decide what to do.
