So far this season, Manchester United has not been very successful. The squad didn’t make it past the UEFA Champions League group round. On the other hand, Man Utd’s offensive players haven’t exactly been raking in the goals this year.
A Manchester Evening News article, however, claims that United sent scouts to watch Gyokeres play last week.
The Swedish forward is a current first-division Portuguese footballer for Sporting Lisbon. So far this season, he’s tallied 32 goals and 11 assists.
According to some sources, Manchester United is interested in signing him because their strikers have underachieved this season.
On the other hand, Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon is reportedly being pursued by Chelsea and Arsenal for a summer transfer. According to the same source, his contract with Sporting Lisbon has a release clause worth 86 million Pounds.
