Milan, Bayern, and Two Premier League Clubs Chase Torino Star

Bayern Munich will allegedly make a bid for Alessandro Buongiorno, a defender for Torino, after the season ends, joining AC Milan and two other Premier League clubs in monitoring the player.

Stefano Pioli’s Milan were among the clubs interested in signing Buongiorno in January. But Torino are reluctant to part with the 24-year-old, even if President Urbano Cairo has repeatedly demanded that they do so.

The article claims that after the Euros, Buongiorno’s transfer market will heat up. The Azzurri center defender is in high demand, with interest from Milan, Bayern Munich, and two Premier League clubs.

In June 2028, Buongiorno’s contract with Torino will expire. He declined a summer transfer to Atalanta despite having graduated from the team’s academy.

The 24-year-old Buongiorno is spearheading Torino’s push to participate in a European tournament next season.

The Turin club is in tenth place in Serie A right now, but they still have a shot at making it to the UEFA Conference League.

Next summer, the Granata will ask €40 million for their captain, and they expect a bidding battle.

Tuttosport cites Football Italia as saying that Bayern Munich is one of the clubs interested in signing Buongiorno. Following Matthijs de Ligt’s injury in December 2023, the Bavarians allegedly initiated negotiations with Torino.

The Bavarians are ready to resume talks in the summer, though, because Torino is unwilling to sell.
