Jadon Sancho has left viewers in disbelief with something he did in Borussia Dortmund’s historic win over Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho continued his rejuvenation at Borussia Dortmund with a strong performance against Bayern Munich.
It was a historic win for Dortmund, who defeated their arch-rivals for the first time since 2019 in Der Klassiker and for the first time at the Allianz Arena in a decade.
Karim Adeyemi opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes before Julian Ryerson doubled the lead late on.
It’s a massive win for Dortmund as they battle to finish in a Champions League place and it has potentially handed the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.
Xabi Alonso’s team are still unbeaten and have now gone 13 points clear at the top of the table with six games remaining.
Those who watched the game were left particularly surprised by what Sancho did.
Jadon Sancho stuns fans during Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund
Sancho played on both flanks in a fluid performance but it was on the right where he had great joy, despite coming up against Alphonso Davies.
The rapid left-back is a tricky customer but Sancho repeatedly had the better of him throughout the game.
The 24-year-old got past him several times, even dribbling around him twice in one passage of play with Davies left on the ground after failing to win the ball with a slide tackle.
Some fans were left stunned by the display and posted their disbelief on X.
One viewer said: ‘Sancho is cooking Davies,’ with a crying laughing emoji. Another wrote: ‘Davies getting spun by Sancho makes me want to laugh. What happened to the guy?’
Another joked: ‘Jadon Sancho is sending Alphonso Davies back to the MLS’ while someone else added: ‘Davies getting spun by Sancho. IM ALIVE.’
‘Jadon Sancho absolutely cooked Davies,’ another wrote and someone else said: ‘Sancho terrorised Davies today.’
Another promising performance for Sancho
After an explosive start back in Germany with two assists in his first two games, Sancho’s form once again dipped and he struggled to contribute to his side.
However, the forward appears to be turning things around in recent weeks and his display against Bayern is just the latest example.
Sancho grabbed two goals in his last two appearances before the recent international break and appears to be finding his confidence again.
It’s still not clear if he will ever pull on a United shirt again but it’s great to see him realising his potential and enjoying his football once more.
